Ambassadors’ Forum

About the Event

The Ambassadors’ Forum will meet biannually in ParliamentĀ Buildings with guest speakers both selected by Politics PlusĀ and informed by the participants themselves.

In addition to providing a forum for recognising the achievements of those involved, this will ensure that networks established during the programme are developed further and create an opportunity for the participants to share examples of best practice.

Thus ensuring a forum for discussion and provide a platform for knowledge exchange.

This upcoming Ambassadors’ Forum will include a range of guest speakers. Laura Bates is the founder of the award-winning Everyday Sexism Project, acclaimed author of ‘Everyday Sexism’ and ‘Girl Up’, regular contributor for the Guardian, Independent and TIME, and international activist. Marie Anderson is the first Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman. Susie Brown, a previous participant in the first Women in Public Life Programme will introduce “Be Seen Be Heard”- an initiative developed by Susie, Politics Plus and Bespoke Communications in partnership with BBC, UTV and sponsored by Ulster University, to help female experts get the tools, training and faciliation to fully participate in media debate, analysis and opinion.
